2008 Alcohol Notice!

We have taken the proper steps to responsibly control the consumption of alcoholic beverages, under the Laws of the State of Alabama and for the safety of the fans, drivers and invitees of Green Valley Speedway.
Green Valley Speedway, LLC is now licensed to sell alcoholic beverages.
Under and in full and strict compliance with and as an
 Alabama State Licensed Facility #160 Special Retail Licensee.

Approved by the City of Glencoe & issued by the State of Alabama ABC Board.
It is required that we must comply with the following and your cooperation is expected:

*(12)    No ABC Board licensee shall allow on the licensed premises the consumption and/or possession of any type of alcoholic beverage which the licensee is not authorized to sell.  Further, the practice of brown bagging or customers bringing on the licensed premises their own alcoholic beverages is prohibited on ABC Board licensed premises.

Green Valley Speedway, LLC and the City of Glencoe both were aware that there is no way to totally stop the consumption of alcohol at Green Valley Speedway and both felt the need to legally and safely control it.  Green Valley Speedway was left no choice but to EITHER STOP THE CURRENT CONSUMTION OF ALCOHOL, or be exposed to government penalties and the exposure to arrest of the patrons that were illegally drinking on the premises. The choice was simple either get this license, which allows our patrons to drink alcohol and allows GVS to have the benefit of Liquor Liability Insurance, or rigorously enforce prohibition at the track. We felt that it was impossible to enforce prohibition and unfair to responsible drinking fans that harm no one and just want to relax, with a beer while enjoying the races.

With this License our fans & invitees can now
Legally & most of all responsibly consume alcohol at Green Valley Speedway.
Abuse of this privilege will not be tolerated by GVS or the Alabama ABC Board!

If you feel the need to consume alcoholic beverages on the premises,
The State Liquor License requires that you
Drink responsibly and drink only the alcoholic beverages purchased  
From the Tracks Concession Stand under the South Grandstands

No alcohol is to be consumed in pits during races.
     Alcohol may only be consumed in the non family section of the South Grandstands.
 
*Violation of section 12 above is a $250.00 fine imposed by the
State of Alabama ABC Board for the first offense and $500 for the second offense
Please govern yourself accordingly, drink responsibly and respect the rights of others. Drivers found drinking prior to a race will be immediately disqualified from events that evening, fined $250 and suspended for 30 days!
