THIS HISTORY OF THE B A M A B A S H

THE BAMA BASH WAS AN IDEA OF BILL TENEYCK, OWNER & PROMOTER OF GREEN VALLEY SPEEDWAY. BILL TENEYCK TOOK OVER THE SPEEDWAY IN THE FALL OF 1998 AND BY 1999 HAD DECIDED THAT HE NEEDED A BIG TRADITIONAL RACE, LIKE MOST TRACKS DO.

PREPARATIONS FOR A RACE, TRYING TO FIND A GOOD RACE DATE, THE RIGHT PURSE, AND GETTING ALL THE PIECES IN PLACE, FINALLY BROUGHT THE DREAM TO REALITY IN FEBRUARY OF 2000, WHEN THE FIRST BAMA BASH WAS HELD. JOHN JONES WILL GO DOWN AS THE WINNER OF THE INAUGURAL EVENT.

THE BAMA BASH HAS GROWED TREMENDOUSLY OVER THE YEARS, AND HAS ALWAYS KEPT IT’S PLACE ON THE SCHEDULE DURING THE LAST WEEKEND OF FEBRUARY.

MANY DRIVERS HAVE CAME TRYING TO CONQUER THE FEAT OF WINNING THIS EVENT AND BEING CROWNED “MR. BAMA BASH”.

THE BAMA BASH IS IN THE TOP 10 TO SEE RACES IN THE COUNTRY, AND WILL ONLY GET BIGGER & BETTER UNDER THE OWNERSHIP AND RUNNING OF BILL TENEYCK.

THE BAMA BASH….ONE RACE YOU DON’T WANT TO MISS!!!
